According to this analysis article it talks about why people think inclusion should be allowed and why it shouldn't. It also says that people are pushing for inclusion, because they do not think the special education program is working. But the article defends this by saying that it hasn't worked because it hasn't been fully implemented and received the funding they were promised. the article also discusses the Learning Disabilities Association of America as not supporting full inclusion they argue that its okay for some students with disabilities but some cannot function in a regular classroom, and wouldn't be fair to them if they were forced into a regular classroom. They believe it should be decided on each students ability rather than based on a budget.
I chose this article, because it discussed both the negative and positive aspects about inclusion. It also gave interesting viewpoints from both advocates and and people against inclusion. It was interesting to find the LDA was against full inclusion, but the reasons they gave, for being against it, made a valid point. It talked about how many people pushed for inclusion because they thought the special education system wasn't working. But i didn't even consider the fact that they haven't been receiving the correct funding and they were pushing for inclusion to possibly help with their budget.

According to Slavin, Madden, and Leavy (1984) found that math test scores increased by nearly half a grade level. Along with an increase in spelling, social studies, and other academic areas for both students.

In fact it actually proved to be beneficial for both disabled and general education students. This makes sense because by having the general education students tutoring the students with disabilities. They both receive a better understanding of the curriculum, and the test scores show that.

This article talks about how full inclusion fails to work, because IDEA requires that public schools provide highly specialized education that's designed to meet the needs of each individual student. The article says that with full inclusion that wont be possibly for a teacher trying to deal with many children at once. The article also talks about a certain case with a boy named Rafael and how full inclusion didn't work for him. It then goes on to say that it would be detrimental to both general education students and special education students because the classrooms would slowly turn into special education classes that would bring the other students education down. Lastly it talks about how it will take away from the students that really need the help.

It then goes on to talk about how this will help both types of students and how the schools will be accurately incorporating special education students into general education classes. That the special education students will be involved in all activities and benefit from the resources that the other students are exposed to as well.
I chose this journal because it is a good way to show that when the special education students are segregated they don't feel included in the community and others don't really include them either. This also talks about how the students will be involved in all the activities the other students get to experience. Giving those students a more social experience and interaction with their peers. That they might other wise not get being in a special education classroom.

This scholarly journal talks about the benefits of having students with disabilities in the classroom with general education students. This journal talked about many studies that had been done to see if inclusion was good or bad. It talked about how when special education students were incorporated into the classrooms they had a higher rate of succeeding in life, as far as being able to get a job later on in life. It talks about how having special needs students in the classroom showed a significant increase in reading and math scores than those in a general education classroom. They also asked a number of high schooler's what they thought having students with disabilities in the class with them was like and they said it was beneficial for their personal growth, their acceptance of others increased, and human diversity in general increased.

It talked about certain studies that had been done to see if inclusion would be beneficial or negative not only for the special education students but the general education students as well.
